My Beautiful Struggle + strange

Haunted Halloween with Angeline Kace and a giveaway!

What Is That!? by Angeline Kace
Some people fear death, spiders, or heights. I even have a friend who fears porch swings. No joke.
Well, my greatest fear is possession. The thought of a demon, or evil entity, or whatever taking control of my body, and I can't get it out, scares the crap out of me. So I'll start with the story concerning the most infamous possession ever: The Exorcist, which was inspired by true events.

Growing up, this was a show that I had always wanted to see. Well, a part of me always wanted to see it. The part that craved adventure and haunted houses wanted to see it. But the part of me that knew possession was something dark, and terrifying, and most importantly real wanted to avoid it.
Until one day, back when I was in the eighth grade, I was hanging out at a friend's house; we'll call her Stacy, with another friend of ours, who we'll call Vicki. We were there alone, and somehow started talking about the movie. Stacy mentioned that she had the movie, but had never seen it. She offered for us to watch it. Vicki said she'd be willing to watch it as long as it wasn't Rated R. PG 13 was fine, but nothing Rated R. Well, the evil side of Stacy and me came out. We swore up and down that The Exorcist was only Rated PG 13.
And Stacy loaded The Exorcist into the VCR. We began the movie with us spread out between two couches and slowly began to scrunch together on a single couch. Soon, we all needed to use the bathroom, but no one wanted to walk down the hall by themselves. Stacy paused the movie, and we all walked down the hall huddled together.
As the final person finished up and began washing her hands, a strange hiss/growling sound screeched from the living room.
All three of us screamed and crowed against the wall and shower, hearing Linda Blair"Haaaaaahhhaaaaaa" the evil way she does when she turns her head around.
"Keith!" Stacy screamed, thinking her brother had unpaused the movie.
No answer. We were really alone.
"Keith! I mean it! Stop! Turn it off!"
"Haaaahaaaaa!" continued from the T.V.
"It came unpaused," Stacy said and left our huddle. And while she ran to the living room, Vicki and I followed, fearing to be left alone in the bathroom.
Stacy paused the movie again, explaining that if you leave something paused for so long, it unpauses itself. I've never heard of such a thing, and we really weren't in the bathroom that long; we were all terrified and definitely weren't wasting any time.
Still, to this day, I don't buy the"it came unpaused because we took too long" excuse.
